Types of Installations
Buildings and homes come with a variety of stairway designs, which present challenges when considering a stairlift. Here we explain the main types of stairway structures that should be considered when installing a stairlift in your home.
Stairways come in various shapes and forms because of lack of building standards during the early years of the building boom in Taiwan. See here to see the various types of stairwell structures Cityfly has implmented.
There are several considerations when it comes to how the stairlift chair rests at the top and bottom of the stairs. See here to see the various types of stair ends Cityfly has implmented.
One of the most confounding challenges is implementing stairlifts in restricted spaces. In older buildings codes for stairways were not established and so Cityfly has taken up the challenge with materials and strategies to resolve these issues.
In extreme cases Cityfly has implemented a Side Saddle strategy – see Cases here.
Wheelschair stairlift access is another challenge where the extra weight and size places tremendous stress on the railing and roller system. This is where the CF-150 and CF200 Stainless Steel stairlifts shine (see cases here)
